At 4 Pillars Care, we are looking for professional and experienced Direct Support Care Professionals that are inspired to help us carry out our mission. The clients we serve are our number one priority. We tailor our services and activities to meet the needs of the clients we serve. We place emphasis on the client's best interest in every situation.
Responsibilities:
Follows the training program as outlined in the clients Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
Respects and promotes the individual rights of clients, including maintaining the dignity of each person during daily care procedures
Provides direct client care and other related duties as assigned by supervisor(s) and/or nursing staff
Attends required in-service trainings
Supervision, protection, and care of adults with mental disabilities individually and in groups
Notation of the adult progress; identification of the possible need for additional professional services; and communication of such findings to professional support staff.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
DSP 1 & DSP 2 to be completed within first year of employment
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Sufficient reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills to perform essential duties and responsibilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
Ability to successfully pass all post offer.
Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift, and transfer clients (with assistance of others and mechanical lift)
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are encouraged to apply!
Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Maintain CPR and First Aid certification
One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
Demonstrated strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
Must be able to perform CPR, lifting and transferring, and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols
Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated basic experience with internet-based programs
Must have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record.
Rate of Pay: $17.50 - $20 per hour
